Those in attendance were: Erin Taylor, Elizabeth Hill, Cherame Lindley, Robin Trent, Shantell Moses, Elizabeth Bracken, Alivia Burgess
Welcome: Erin Taylor, PTO President
Fundraising: Chick-Fil-A night- a success but we won’t know the total for a little while
11.21.2017 Pay to wear PJ’s Day-Cherame Lindley will send flyers home
RSL Camps- July or August is best after the playground phase 2 is done
Open Positions for 2017-2018
-Field Day Chair- This is our priority right now
Veterans Day- Shantell Moses presented an outline of events for the program. 7:00 AM the doors will open. The program will start at 7:30. It will include a flag ceremony and a Fallen Soldier Table and a presentation hopefully presented by the student council. Mrs. Allred and Mrs. Sorensen should be contacted and a meeting should be set up to speak with the student council about presenting the Fallen Soldier script. We need to find out about approval for P.T. Tests during recess or to take the place of specials that day. Veteran volunteers can run those. Displays set up in the rotunda to represent the different branches of military would be nice along with maybe an M.R.E. booth. Before the end of the day, a military member dressed up in his or her uniform will hand out dog tags to all the students. We need about 650 dog tags. For more details, contact Shantell Moses.
Teacher Appreciation: Alivia and her committee heads are on top of PTC meals for Nov. 8-9th and will begin planning the December Christmas lunch for the teachers.
Literacy: Dad’s and Doughnuts 10.25.2017-Kristi Harris needs to just order all the donuts and let Mrs. Jones know how much the school’s portion will be. Not enough volunteers agreed to bring in doughnuts in exchange for volunteer hours. Elizabeth Hill will contact Christy Carlson to make sure the doors are unlocked at 7:15am that day.
Yearbook: Erin is going to offer a coloring contest for students. They can color something to the theme of being super and being your best self. The goal is to have the artwork out by October 23rd and turned back in by November 3rd. Erin is working out the details.

Just a Reminder:
Copy Procedures: In the copy room there is a copy folder box on the table. There are two folders marked “PTO Copies to be made” and “PTO Copies Finished.” You must fill out a copy instruction sheet and be extremely detailed and specific in your instructions to the copy aids. If you want a certain amount of copies made on a specific color of paper, you need to make sure you get that color of paper and put it into the folder so it can be done. The paper is kept in the PTO closet/room in the medal cabinet. If you need a specific color and don’t see it, you need to contact the PTO Secretary (Elizabeth Hill) and tell her. Elizabeth will go to the store and buy the paper color you need. Ecebrowski@gmail.com is the fastest way to contact Elizabeth. If you need copies made and sent out to the teachers, DO NOT HAVE THEM PUT IN THE TEACHER BOXES! Write instructions on your copy instruction form that tells the aids to put however many specific number of copies of the papers into each teacher’s bag. They will then go deliver the teacher’s bag and put it on the teacher’s door knob. The bags are in the copy room on the PTO shelf. This is the best way for the teachers to know there are important papers that must go home right away. Otherwise the forms get lost in their boxes and won’t get out for a few days.
